The Learning Center offers free services to currently-enrolled University of Utah
students. Learning Center peer educators are currently-enrolled University of Utah
students who have excelled in their academics and participate in weekly training that
follows guidelines set by the College Reading and Learning Association and the International Center for Supplemental Instruction. Learn more about each of our services below.
Learning Center Services
Individual Tutoring
Schedule a 30-minute or 60-minute individual appointment with a tutor to discuss course-specific content for 200+ courses. Appointments can be held in person (M LIB 1705 A) or via Zoom.
Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides free organized study sessions open to any student enrolled in supported courses. SI Leaders hold two 1-hour sessions each week.
Learning Consultations
Learning consultations are 30-minute, individual meetings to create a plan to develop academic success skills. Topics often include time management, procrastination, note-taking, effective studying, test anxiety, and critical thinking.

Presentations
Workshops and presentations are available for faculty, staff, student organizations, and others who request one. They can be one-time or regularly-occurring workshops as a supplement to your courses.
Academic Success Resources
View a variety of academic success resources including strategies for time management, active learning, note taking, effective studying, test taking, and well-being.
